What is it about raw, vegan food that keeps my sinuses clear?

I started a raw food diet after doing a 15 day juice fast which took place a few months ago. I've noticed that my sinuses are a lot clearer and that they drain after every meal. Not a bad thing! What is it about raw, vegan food that keeps my sinuses clear?
Its more that cooked food makes your body produce mucus. Mucus is the main way your body protects itself from cooked food which it is not designed to eat. We have adapted to eat cooked food, one of the adaptations is producing a lot of mucus, to line the colon, and other areas. What is it about raw, vegan food that keeps my sinuses clear?
It must be the smell. What is it about raw, vegan food that keeps my sinuses clear?
Were you omni or lacto-ovo vegetarian before? If so, it's most likely not what you are eating, but instead what you've stopped eating. Dairy foods, for one, increase mucus production. And from personal experience, I used to have terrible seasonal allergies %26amp; was awfully allergic to cats as a kid and even after I went vegetarian, but once I went vegan, those things seemed to disappear. I adopted a cat about three years ago %26amp; have had absolutely no problems. The only time I ever have allergy attacks is the first thing when I wake up in the morning...watery eyes and sometimes a few sneezes...nothing compared to back in the day. It's possible that you might have had environmental changes too. Like, last fall, my dad, who has been a heavy smoker since he was like 10 (I love him, but the idiot still smokes even though he's barely survived throat cancer, had two knee replacement surgeries, etc. Stubborn as hell just like almost everyone in my family.), came to visit/stay with me for about three weeks. I haven't been around smoke in a long time except for concerts or the rare occasion that I go to a bar, but nothing regular. After just short of a week of him being in my house smoking all the time, I had the first sinus infection I've ever had in my 32 years of life. I felt like dying. I was actually considering seeing a doctor, which I never do unless it's something serious. After explaining how I felt to my parents, they convinced me that it was a sinus infection, which both of them have apparently experienced before. I've also noticed that my nose runs a lot in the winter at work, but not at home. Something about the difference in the heating/air systems, I suppose. What is it about raw, vegan food that keeps my sinuses clear?
The lack of processed **** in your body!
Well, there are many reasons. You are not eating dairy which is said to clog people up. You are eating foods high in antioxidants. Antioxidants reduce inflammation, which is a main cause of sinusitis. Those antioxidant rich foods are also good for your immune system which helps keep you healthier overall.
