Why do raw vegans eat rice, beans and other boiled/steamed food?

Aren't they meant to live on raw food? Why do raw vegans eat rice, beans and other boiled/steamed food?
My neighbor Joanna eats what is called "high raw" which just means a high level of her food intake is raw. Eating raw is a serious commitment, and I think that the incorporation of some boiled/steamed food is a good way for many otherwise raw-foodies to broaden meal possibilities as well as increase caloric intake. I know Joanna has a hard time keeping weight on eating 100% raw.Why do raw vegans eat rice, beans and other boiled/steamed food?
The truth is there are different ways of going about the raw food diet. Some raw foodists will eat about 20% steamed or boiled foods. Rice, beans and other hard legumes are hard to consume when raw, so boiling them is easier and it also makes the fiber in them easier to digest. As long as at least 80% of your food is raw, you can consider yourself a raw foodist. Raw vegans may also find it harder to get enough calories in their diets, because raw vegetables contain a lot of indigestible fiber and little calories. Boiling and steaming are also the least harmful cooking methods out there. Why do raw vegans eat rice, beans and other boiled/steamed food?
Raw vegans do not eat boiled or steamed food. The temperature of all things they consume (with the exception of water) cannot exceed 112 degrees F. Doing so (118 degrees) destroys nutrients and enzymes. Beans, rice, and other seeds and nuts are soaked and/or germinated, never boiled/steamed.Why do raw vegans eat rice, beans and other boiled/steamed food?
It is because they believe that cooking foods destroys the complex balance of micronutrients. And they also believe that in the cooking process, dangerous chemicals are produced by the heat interaction with fat, protein, and carbohydrates.
Being a vegan doesn't mean you have to be on raw food it instead means that you won't eat non-veg stuffs and also any animal products.
