I'd say try it and see. Don't give her a whole meal of raw, try giving her several bites of raw in the middle of the day as a snack (make her breakfast a bit smaller if you like). If you do that for several days and she's alright, try feeding her 1 meal that's a bit smaller than normal of raw and see what happens.
You might want to have plain, canned pumpkin in the house just in case it gives her diarrhea.Would a bit of raw food be bad for a 16 year old that hasnt had raw before?
No more than changing her to a different kibble would really. Unless she has some serious health problems there is no reason why you can't switch her over to raw as well.Would a bit of raw food be bad for a 16 year old that hasnt had raw before?
I tried raw food with my dog and it didn't worked well. The first few times she ate it her body reacted differently when she went to the bathroom but I ended up mixing a small amount into the hard food and that worked fine so it depends. I would just try mixing in a little into her normal food.Would a bit of raw food be bad for a 16 year old that hasnt had raw before?
Slowly increase the amount of raw food she gets by a small piece more and a little less kibble each day.
