Can I feed my puppy kibble at one meal and raw food at another? What is the best way to incorporate raw food?

The pup is a 10 wk old labradoodle. Can I feed my puppy kibble at one meal and raw food at another? What is the best way to incorporate raw food?
Yes, that is perfectly fine. (That's what I do with my dog, she gets a meal of kibble and a meal of raw.)

Raw digest faster than kibble, which is why you want to keep them in separate meals. Can I feed my puppy kibble at one meal and raw food at another? What is the best way to incorporate raw food?
yes you can and this is what we use.

kibble digests slower then raw food so really depends on how you want to do it we feed kibble in the morning then give RAW at night as that gives our three pups something to chew and get a last bit of energy out.

we have two boxer/golden mixes and one we think is a pure lab he was dumped at a friends and i took him they are 13 weeks old

email personally if you would like a bit more information on mixing the differnet foods. mililponiesnfriends@yahoo.comCan I feed my puppy kibble at one meal and raw food at another? What is the best way to incorporate raw food?
the literature says not to mix the 2 but I do, my dogs get kibble with yogurt, bananas, fish and vitamins in the morning, my adults just get meat and veggies at supper but my pups still get some kibble at that time with the meat and veggies, I slowly reduce the amount of kibble till we are down to just the raw food, but I do it over months.

apparently they digest a different rates, that is the problem, but I crate my pups after they eat so they nap and digest. Can I feed my puppy kibble at one meal and raw food at another? What is the best way to incorporate raw food?
The best way to incorporate non-kibble into the pup's diet is to mix it with his kibble at his meals. A pup that young should be eating 2-3x per day. If you switch back and forth, you could create a picky eater or have loose stools after some meals because of the change in fiber content.

I hope that you do not intend on actually feeding uncooked meats to your pup. I assume that is not what you meant by raw. Uncooked meats contain bacteria and disease causing agents that can make your puppy sick. If you want to feed meat and the like to your dog, make sure it is cooked, the fat is properly drained ,etc. It is best at this age to stick to prepared soft foods if you want to incorporate them with his kibble. Wellness makes some excellent soft puppy foods that my puppy adores with ingredients like sweet potatoes and lamb. They are very healthy and have balanced nutrition to meet your dog's needs as he grows.

Best of luck.
