He may have bowel problems and has already been checked for giardia and worms and whatever else the vet can test for. He is my baby and I'm trying my hardest to make him feel better. What kind of high protein, raw food can i give to my Bengal cat?
Hi there again Natasha...ground up chicken, turkey are some of the best for the raw feeding.
Nature's Variety sells pre-made raw chicken, turkey, lamb, beef, venison, rabbit forumulated medallions that are very helpful: http://www.naturesvariety.com/content.la鈥?/a>
Here's a link to Nature's Variety store locator so you can find a pet store that sells these nearby you: http://www.naturesvariety.com/where.lass鈥?/a>
Try more canned foods as well as this will add moisture to your Bengal's diet which seems to help with the IBS. I use Nature's Variety canned formula as well as Wellness.
There are also many websites that provide raw diet recipes, however some people may find this a bit more work than using the pre-made raw for sale.
I'll include the links if you would like to consider making your own raw for your Bengal:

Please NOTE that it does take some time to see the results. My Bengals digestive problems started to improve after several months on this diet. What kind of high protein, raw food can i give to my Bengal cat?
By bowel problems, do you mean loose stool? If that's the case and there's no medical reason for it, then he may very well improve on a better diet.
This was the case for one of my girls. She always had loose stool, and it wasn't until I started adding raw chicken necks to her diet that I saw the greatest improvement!
Anyway, you have several options available to you. Whatever you choose to do, just know that the meat has to be properly balanced. You can do this with supplements or you can feed the whole prey model.
The whole prey model is very simply the proper proportions of meat/bones/organs. This is the route that I chose and it couldn't be simpler.
I buy from a local supplier and you may be able to do the same. Or you can purchase online from a source such as www.hare-today.com. You don't have to worry about getting the proportions right because they've done it for you. You would simply select a meat that is listed as including bones and organs. Sometimes you can choose between a coarse grind and a fine grind.
Buying online is quite easy, but it may be less expensive if you can find a supplier. If you're in the midwest, check out Taylor Pond Farms (www.taylorpondfarms). This is my supplier and I'm quite happy with them and their products.
You could also go with buying commercial raw such as Primal or Nature's Variety. Most of these are already complete and balanced so you don't have to worry about supplementing. But personally I feel that "true" raw is better, although you have to do what works best for you. What kind of high protein, raw food can i give to my Bengal cat?
There are several vendors for raw food, I like Oma's Pride as one of the better ones. There are no fruit/vegetable/grain fillers in it as opposed to some of the others. Cats, as carnivores, have no use for grains, fruits or vegetables. There are also some interesting dehydrated ones that you rehydrate available. You can also have something like beef heart (it's good muscle meat) ground for you by a local butcher. You would then add something like Platinum Performance as a supplement. What kind of high protein, raw food can i give to my Bengal cat?
Good for you, helping out your Bengal. They are marvellous cats. I love Siamese but a Bengal is another breed I'd love to have.
Here is a link to Dr. Lisa Pierson's web site with tons of cat food info...this will take you to the part of a page where she talks about what she feeds her own cats. She feeds mostly a homemade raw diet. She mentions here some brands %26amp; gives links, like Feline's Pride (the favorite of a lot of people I know) and aNature's Variety. She also gives the recipe she uses (and she is a veterinarian/feline nutritionist). http://www.catinfo.org/#My_cats_are_now_鈥?/a>
In addition, she has info on her site about bowel problems.
http://www.catnutrition.org This is another great site, this one by a layperson who cured her cat of Inflammatory Bowel Disease by means of a raw diet. It is an excellent website and many cats with your Bengal's trouble have been helped by following the same thing she did.
All the diets mentioned would be high protein from meat sources.
Good luck with your beautiful boy.
