Whats the best raw cat food?

Ive heard that raw cat food is good for cats, but i'm just curious what ones are the best. (basically im asking about the manufactured kind they sell in the pet stores) so far i've heard of Wild Kitty and Bravo, are there any others? and how good is raw food for cats?Whats the best raw cat food?
Nature's Variety is a good brand.

I've investigated these pre-made raw diets. While they're not bad, I wasn't happy to see all the fruits/veggies they've added.

Again, they're better than dry food certainly, but if you're going to feed raw, it seems best to go all the way and feed actual raw meat.

There are tons of suppliers - some are local some online (like www.hare-today.com).

If I had it to do over again, I would serve whole prey - meat, bones and organs in chunk form that the cats would have to tear into for dental health and jaw strength. If you serve whole prey, you don't need to supplement.Whats the best raw cat food?
I feed my cats raw meat which I mix up with a commercial supplement powder (for seven years now) and they also have canned meat. They don't have any dry food.

Nature's Variety is a raw food you can buy in a pet store I think.

You can join the Yahoo group WholeCatHealth. Many people in the group are feeding raw food or just converting their cats to it. Some are using the commercial raw foods so they will know the best brands. You just go to http://www.yahoogroups.com and put in a seach for WholeCatHealth and request membership in the group.
Sadly most pet foods are full of enriched fillers, which puts them at the same risk we do: pesticides, etc.

I'm giving you a link that not only lists some, but also gives you alternative to having no kibble.

Good luck!Whats the best raw cat food?
Tuna Fish can cause Yellow Fat Disease (over time) and it is a very painful Disease and they can die from it.

Here in Australia, we catch poisonous snakes as raw cat food. Sometimes they die, but it saves you some money!Whats the best raw cat food?
I have fed my two cats dry food and as a treat wet food at times. They actually ask for the wet stuff but ohhhh the odour!I had enquired a very long time ago about raw meat and also using other than just dry foods. I was told be two well known vets in my area that raw foods can lead to a lot of digestive problems later on. In nature the animals ate fresh raw meats all the time in order to exsist BUT our world today has definitely changed and now as I said some vets frown on raw meat as our meat still has a lot of extras we didn't have many years ago even if it is raw so to speak. Me no way would I give my cats raw meat but yes to their so called treat of can foods. Dry seems to be the safest I have found. For what this is worth good luck ANN
Hmmmm..... our cat just let us know today that it prefers raw cantelope.

Seriously, don't know anything about "raw" catfood... we use the dry stuff. But our cat really will beg for cantelope.
talk to your vet and get the right food for your cat
I feed my cats raw fish, once or twice a week.

I buy frozen perch or simular, thaw it and feed it to them. They love it. When I get it out of the freezer, they about mug me to get it.

My vet didn't have any issues with it. She did say to not do it everyday, as cat food like Iam's, is prefered due to being a complete food source.
sometimes its not as good as people think and can easily be tainted or go rotten..

I would NEVER buy a dry food from grocery or Wal Mart.. but feed a premium dry from pet supply store - I consider the qualtity to be superior to a raw diet - I also suppliment with canned food mixed with water to make soup to help with urinary tract health...

I beleive premium quality food is good.. and to me the raw diet is a "fad" with some risks I am not willing to take.. plus I am 1 hour away from the city so you just cannot buy it any time you want.. its not conveinient

plus cats need access to food all the time.. how are you going to do that wiht raw food???
