How much raw food to feed my dog?

Hi I have an one year American Husky( German Spitz) large size well actually compared to other dogs, it is a medium sized dog. Could you tell me how much raw food and which kind of raw food should i give to my dog? Could you even give a few examples of a total balanced raw dietHow much raw food to feed my dog?
See my dog vomits when we fed him meat... so i mean raw meat is worst then cooked so I'm thinking only meat treats from the store because meat sometimes triggers sicknessesHow much raw food to feed my dog?
This is a great question and you should do your research very carefully! Everyone is going to have their opinion but that does not mean it is the right food for your dog. I just lost my seven year old German Shephard to cancer and that is when I went searching for the cause. I came across a website on the internet that shocked me into disbelief that I probably had poisoned my dog to death and didn't even know it. Most dog foods are loaded with hidden poisons and other obsenities I still have a hard time grasping. I am going to give you the website address so you can read this report and learn what is really in commercial dog foods and you can make an educated decision like I did on which dog food to buy! I wish you all the best!

Dogs are wolves and wolves are carnivores, so I feed a raw prey model diet: 80% meat, 10% bone, 10% organ. Veggies are used only as the occassional treat, not a major part of the diet. Some say they need mashed, pureed veggies to mimic stomach contents of large ruminant prey, but they don't eat the stomach contents. Wolves in the wild don't and several people who feed whole prey have observed their dogs shaking the stomach out before eating it and ignoring the contents. Usually you start with feeding 2-3% of estimated ideal adult body weight and go from there. If the dog gets skinny feed more, if it gets fat, feed less. Most people start with chicken since it's easy to get, cheap, easy to digest and the bones are soft. It also has a high ratio of edible bone to meat which helps keep poo firm during the initial switch. Your dog will not get sick and die, he will not choke on a bone (as long as you feed appropriately sized food) and he will not get worms from eating human grade meat. He will have a softer coat that sheds less, has more gloss, have cleaner teeth, fresher breath and more energy and focus. He will want to chew less and probably not beg for food. Also, raw bones do not splinter liked cooked, so no worries there.

I suggest you join the Yahoo raw feeding lists:

Several people recommended you talk to a vet, but vets are NOT nutritionists. The only nutrition education they've had was paid for or even taught by dog food manufacturers, so guess what they will recommend? How much raw food to feed my dog?
Perhaps no subject causes more controversy among dog owners than the merits or risks of feeding a raw food diet. On either side of the fence, you'll find supporters who believe strongly that theirs is the best way to properly nourish our pets.

If your dog looks healthy and maintains a level of energy and happiness, it might be you've found the right food.
You should never give your dog grains, pork, human snacks, or any other food that contains any form of grains or salt. Dogs are 100% unable to process these and it can kill them. You can however feed them raw meat, vegetables such as carrots and fresh raw fruit such as apples (sliced and seedless ... the seeds contain trace amounts of arsenic and over time can poison your dog ... I almost lost one of my dogs because of this), bananas, oranges. Do not feed your dog grapes as they can get stuck in your dog's throat. Even though some people say that they agree with it, you should watch what kind of bones you give your dog and if it gets down to about the size of a large grape you should take it off of your dog to avoid him/her choking on it.How much raw food to feed my dog?
the correct amount of raw food to feed to any dog is : none at all. you never know what kind of parasites, bacteria, or whatever are in raw food. if he leaves any food behind in his dish to eat later, who knows what that raw food will pick up. best bet: dry food.
What do you mean by raw food?

If you mean raw meat, don't ever feed your dog that.

Scraps, like vegtables, cooked meat, etc from what you leave after dinner, thats fine, just don't give your dog too much.

Don't feed your dog chips, pizza, sweets, etc fatty foods like that.

Did that help?

I hope it did,

Goodluck and look after your dog, and keep it walked regually, make sure it always has water and fed.

You seem very responsible.

Any more questions or concerns, i'd call your local vet for advise.
