Oh my sister has I think 4 Great Danes. She says a raw food diet is very good for that breed! She always talks about it. I think it is a good choice to feet your Great Dane a raw food diet. It is better than the regular food!

Raw meat can carry worms and bacteria that will make your dog sick. Dogs are omnivores, they need meat in their diet.Do you feed your Great Dane a raw food diet?
I don't own any Danes, but a lady I know that frequently visits our dog park owns 5 Great Danes all fed on raw diet.

They are beautiful dogs, and all very healthy.

I do not have a Great Dane but I do feed the Raw Diet and my dogs' health has improved a 110% I have always fed holistic foods but switched to the Raw Diet has a last resort to make an unhealthy dog healthy. I can not believe the results. The dogs love the food, the coats are perfect ( I have had dogs and my family has always bred dogs and I have never seen such healthy shiny coats). My one dog dropped his weight to a perfect healthy and fit weight, all my dogs lost their allergy problems and my old dog acts like a puppy again.

Dogs can eat and digest raw meat, It is what their systems are designed to do. Dogs digestive tracts are NOT meant to digest some of the stuff in dog foods. Like yellow corn, peanut hulls and all the carcinogenic additives.

The only "raw food" that I would ever feed my danes is called the barf diet. Uncooked chicken backs. just chicken backs. Before chicken is cooked the marrow in the bones will not splinter and therefore is very good for them. Dogs are meant to eat bones going way back in time. Once the bones are cooked the marrow is taken out and can cause splintering. So, I know some who feed their dogs the barf diet and strongly recommend it. Getting the chicken backs is expensive and cannot be found, most times, in the grocery store. I agree with the post that stated raw meat has disease in it. Many years ago before pesticides, etc., raw meat may have been good but I wouldn't try it now with my danes.
i have a great dane dog and i just feed it regular pedigre dog food, raw diets are risky because of all the stuff like horomones and mad cow disease and stuff, i would stick to reg dog chow
