Why don't animals starve to death eating raw food?

Raw meat in the wild is far less calories than cooked meat. Raw meat has more digestive capability in humans than when it is cooked and only takes the human digestive system 20 minutes to digest the raw meat. That's very similar to the digestion of fruits an vegetables.

If all this food digests in the digestive system too quickly, then how do these animals not starve? Why don't animals starve to death eating raw food?
Their bodies have much shorter intestine as well as special stomach enzymes, which make absorption of protein much quicker, and can be passed through them at a much higher metabolic rate. These stomach enzymes also kill bacteria in raw meat, hence why humans have to cook meat. (yes I know there's carpaccio and tartare, moving along)

Raw meat gets passed through the body very quickly, because it's a toxin. Your body will do one of two things with toxins: pass it through the other end, or bring it back up... and usually, the human body does bothWhy don't animals starve to death eating raw food?
What are you on about?

I call BS on the whole premise that raw meat only takes 20 minutes to digest. It's the same proteins, fats and sinew. Cooking it does alter the structure somewhat, but not to the level where it is fundamentally transformed into something less digestible.

And even if true, digesting it doesn't mean that the nutrients are through your system and gone.

So what are you trying to get at? That people should eat raw meat (because there are raw meat dishes like sushi and beef tartare or carpaccio) or that animals should eat tofu?
If you take two steaks and cook one on a grill and keep the other raw, which one will have more calories? The raw one. The cooked steak will lose quite a bit of fat from the heat, the fat will drip away. Thus flame ups on the grill. Fat has a lot of calories.

You weird theory about the way meat digests is false. Why don't animals starve to death eating raw food?
We used to eat raw meat and when we started cooking the meat thousands of years ago it was actually EASIER to digest than raw meat, therefore our brains evolved faster........well im sure there are still a few cavemen that brains havent caught up,but.....
they are not vegetarians like some Humans areWhy don't animals starve to death eating raw food?
Animals don't starve to death because they eat. Meat has nutrients and calories their bodies need. Pretty simple huh?
